Xi’an is popular for…their Terracotta Warriors. Thus, on day 6 of our trip, after a 4.5hour train ride, we arrived at the terracotta warrior site.

Overall quite disappointing, didn’t expect it to be as grand as it should be. It was also very touristy and nothing like what I saw in books and on television. I guess, photoshop is really popular these days.
We then went to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

And climbed it.

And then proceeded back to our hotel for dinner and sleep. What a lazy day. That’s what everyday should be like.
The next morning after a perfect sleep in, we walked off to the city wall. But first,
Let’s learn some sanxi dialect!

Lost our direction at our city wall. In all honestly, we can walk here endlessly, around and about, but we were too hungry.

I’ve got to say, Xi’an’s food is really good.

Especially this!

With nothing much left to do, we headed back to our hotel, packed up and took the train back to Beijing. Another 5.5hours later back we were, in the capital of China.

Of course, we dedicated our last day to buy more books from the bookshop.
And that concluded our short winter trip!
