It was the second year I got offered the job for a regional tour in Australia. Won’t reveal too much about it but this time we were going to Victoria, New South Wales and Southern Australia. The schedule was pretty tight but I was very adamant about going out to take in the sights of the regions on my off day. Would also mean that I am not cooped up in the small motel room so it was a positive thing!
Putting this into one post as totalling up I only had 4 off-days in total, meaning just 4 different days of travel!

We drove alot instead of flying on this tour so this was a very typical view.

First off day spent in Griffith, NSW. This was the view from Hermit’s cave.

We then took a short drive to Cocoparra National Park. Natural amphitheatre.

Saw some wild pumpkin at the side of the road so we picked them.

Sunset at the lake. Except we were on the wrong side of the lake so the sunset was seen going down behind the vineyards.

Second day off was in Wagga Wagga. Here’s just me trying a selfie at the botanic gardens.

Cherry Blossoms was in season!

Another drive out to Livingstone National Park. (Is this picture slightly blurry?) We arrived and found out we had to do a little bit of 4WD. Luckily we had a 4WD. Spotted two echidnas on the drive!

Views from the drive.

We were off to Shepparton where we felt really miserable in the cold. We had some time off during work so we went to the Botanic Garden. It was quite bare.

And on our off day, we took the drive out to Cactus Country. It was a very lovely day.

We stopped by Dookie on the way back. Did another lovely walk.

Moving on to Albury. On another day with the morning off, we headed off to Beechworth.

Beechworth Carriage Museum. It had slightly creepy vibes.

This is a person’s house!

On our day off in Warragul, off we were to the snow!

Mount Baw Baw. We did hours of tobogganing and went back.

On our drive from Tanunda to Mount Gambier. Beautiful silos.

Off morning in Mount Gambier. Checked out the Blue Lake. Not too blue on a gloomy day.

And on our last day before our drive back to Melbourne we stopped by Umpherston Sinkhole.

Back in Melbourne with a couple of days off we took a drive to the Dandenong Ranges. Here’s the botanic garden.

And a random phone booth.
Grateful for the places I get to explore on tour. Midway I decided to YOLO and book a campervan to do a drive from Melbourne to Darwin, SOLO! More about that in the next post!
